Many Alarm Control Panels have the ability to send "Test Signals", on a scheduled basis, to help insure their phone line is "good"... and the System is "Up and Operating". The test signal does not tell us whether the System has any problems... it simply lets us know the "Communication" part of the System is working. Without it, it would be possible for a System to be operating for Months, or Years with no way to Communicate, and no one would know it.

The "Central Station" Computers are "Looking" for that "Phone Test" singnal and if they get it, they "log" it, and nothing else happens. If the signal is not sent however, the "Central Station" (Emergency24) generates a "Missed Test Signal" to our Office.

Most of our Residential Systems send "Weekly Signals", however many send "Monthly". Some do not send any signal at all. If you have questions requarding your System... please feel free to give us a call.

Also... as a Customer of "Alarm Services Company"... we can set you up with "Internet Access" to your Monitoring Account @ "Emergency 24" (no charge). You can check "Alarm History", manage "Call List Information" and just generally "keep an eye" on your account. Give us a call for more information... (865) 384-6035
