Many Alarm Control Panels have the ability to send "Test Signals", on a scheduled basis, to help insure their phone line is "good"... and the System is "Up and Operating". The test signal does not tell you whether the System has any problems... it simply lets you know the "Communication" part of the System is working. Without it, it would be possible for a System to be operating for Months, or Years with no way to Communicate, and no one would know it.

The "Central Station" Computers can be set up to "Look" for the "Phone Test" signal. Generally, if they get it, they "log" it, and nothing else happens. If the "phone test" signal is not received however, the "Central Station" (Emergency24) can generate an e-mail notification to you, to let you know there may be some sort of problem. For this to work however, we first need to set it up. "Setup" requires you to provide us with an e-mail address, and request the signals be sent to your e-mail. Please call our office or e-mail...service@alarmingbusiness.com for more information. There is no additional fee for this service.

Most Residential Systems send "Weekly Signals", however many send "Monthly". Some do not send any signal at all. It is a "programmable feature" of your System which may or may not be activated. If you have questions requarding your System...please feel free to contact our Office.

Also... as a Customer of "Alarm Services Company"... we can set you up with "Internet Access" to your Monitoring Account @ "Emergency 24" (no additional charge). You can check "Alarm History", manage "Call List Information" and just generally "keep an eye" on your account. E-mail us or give us a call (865-384-6035) for more information,
