It's generally just a good idea to "Test" your Alarm System occasionally. Equipment problems, voltage surges or changes in other, seemingly unrelated, things, may effect the preformance of your System.
Here's a simple proceedure for testing your System:
Call Emergency 24 @ 800-877-3624, give them your Monitoring Account # and Password, and ask them to "Put your System On Test". Then arm and activate your System (activating all detection points)... let the Siren run at least 45 seconds. Call Emergency 24 back and make sure they got the signals...
(You'll be looking for a signal from each detection point (zone) on your System.
