It's generally just a good idea to occasionally test your Alarm System. Equipment problems, voltage surges or changes in other, seemingly unrelated things, may effect the performance of your System.

Here's a simple procedure for testing your System:

Call Emergency 24 @ 800-877-3624, give them your Monitoring Account number and Password, and ask them to "Put your System On Test". Then arm and activate your System (activating all detection points)... let the Siren run at least 45 seconds. Call Emergency 24 back and make sure they got the signals... You'll be looking for a signal from each detection point (zone) that you tested. Remember to have Emergency 24 put your System "Back in Service" when you are finished.
